The cottage has been tastefully furnished and sits in its own private 1/3rd acre of grounds. The area is renowned for its outdoor pursuits, breath-taking scenery and its abundance of wildlife. There are plenty of walks literally on your doorstep, and the Sustrans Cycle Track, which stretches from Glencoe to Oban runs through the villages.

Surrounding Area

Fort William known as the ‘outdoor capital of the UK’ is only a short drive away and the historic village of Glencoe is close-by. Nearby activities include mountain biking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, walking, golf and fishing. Take a boat trip to the isle of Mull and Iona, or cross on the Corran Ferry and explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Oban, Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye are within easy reach, and there are numerous unspoilt beaches, castles, museums and distilleries nearby that provide great days out. Ballachulish has a Supermarket, Post Office, Takeaway, Restaurant and a bar. At the bottom of the Glen, with only a short walk away, you have the 9 hole Golf Course with the Cabin Garden Centre and Café. Next to the golf course is Ballachulish Hotel which invites non residents to use its restaurant and bar facilities. A little further afield you will find the Hollytree Seafood Restaurant.

Directions

From Fort William, head South on the A82, cross the Ballachulish Bridge and turn on to the A828 towards Oban, immediately after the Golf Course turn left into Glenachulish.

Continue up the Glen until reaching the public car park, follow the road upwards round to the right and 2 Glen Cottages is the fenced in and elevated property on your left.

Drive up the access road and park at the very end, past the style towards the fence where there is parking for 2 vehicles.
